Great informational book about MLK, Jr. My First Graders loved seeing the photographs and hearing about the history.
A bit too advanced for my first grade classroom.
Perfect book for your beginning reader. Words are decodable and the story has substance enough for your young reader to retell.
This book was informative about Martin Luther King, Jr's life and his fight for equal rights. I would like to have learned more about his day to day activities, in addition to his major accomplishments. I believe that there are some people that do not believe in equal rights for all people. I believe in equal rights for all.
Bought this book for Black History month, for my grandson. It was good reading.
Great informative book for my kindergartener to learn a little bit about Dr. King and civil rights. We first read it months ago to honor MLK jr. day and my son still brings up the act of being hit with a brick and being calm, centered and peaceful enough to not hit back.
Got for my 6 year old. He loves it and has fallen in love with reading Martin Luther King Jr. Easy for him to read and understand. Great for kids, I think.
My daughter is 8, and absolutely loves this book and others like it. Since traveling to Atlanta last year to the King Center, her interest in MLK and civil rights is very encouraging and exciting to me.
This is a nice informational book to include for a classroom library.
