I have wanted a Wonder Woman coloring book like the comics for a long time and here it is! I agree with the other review that there is a lot of pages that have Superman, Justice League, etc., however, it's a GREAT start!!! I am looking forward to coloring these pages. Jim Lee and Michael Turner are our favorite comic book artist (hubby and me) and this has more than a handful of Jim's work, along with MANY other great pieces!This is my third DC coloring book, so far, and like the others because it's double sided, on the thinner side and I like to use markers.....I have to take it apart and scan it into my computer to re-print which pages I wish to color on the better paper. Still WELL WORTH the cost for the chance to geek out and color my comic book favs!!!!! Plus you get A LOT to color!!

This is a beautiful book. It has a lovely selection of artists from the Golden Age through Now. This includes some unusual Comics Calvacade covers, the powerless White Go-Go Outfit era, a Lynda Carter, SuperFriends, and many iconic covers. Some may seem a bit dark or complicated at first for coloring, but most are very good selections for pencils, from simple to challenging spaces.(Please note that I referred to pencils. Just like most these current coloring books, they are not suited well for wax crayons - sadly, since I love my crayons. If you are old enough to remember Doodle-Art from decades ago, yes, you could use markers, but just like before, the ink will bleed through and effect the artwork on the other side of the page, so I would not advise it.)Best part for those of us who are comic book fans, the art is clearly identified! FINALLY someone gets it right!On the last page, you will find not just the name of the artist who created the original, but also the year and source. Thank you for acknowledging the work, guys!For those who are fans (or vehemently not) or the Wonder Woman/Superman pairing, of the 90 or so pages, 6 (and a half, kinda - you'll know when you see it) are of this paring. Additionally, there are two are from classic Superman/Wonder Woman fights! And one appears to be after Harley Quinn has kissed Wonder Woman.I am looking forward to getting more of these, including the upcoming Batgirl Coloring Book!

I was thrilled to get this in the mail today! I was even more excited to flip through the amazing decades-spanning line art ...... Until I found the first (of many) pages with smoochy scenes from DC's New 52 Superman/Wonder Woman romance. Why DC? WHY? This is a Wonder Woman coloring book. WONDER WOMAN. If, like me, you're repulsed by DC's recent editorial decision to pair Diana up with Superman, you're likely to be pretty disappointed with like a 1/4 of these coloring pages. I really wish I'd been forewarned.However, the book is well designed and has a fun range of art styles and lots of dynamic scenes to color. So if Supes/Wondy doesn't bother you at all, (we might not be able to be friends, but) you'll probably love this coloring book.

Wide variety of interpretations of Wonder Woman for you to color-worth the try but loss of one star because the pictures are on both sides of the page so markers are out- and there is already some black ink filled in these pictures instead of just straight line work as it should be. Still enjoyable because of the variety of the art work but could have done without the black fill-in done for you if they had printed the pictures on one side of the paper only- you could have used your markers.

Picked this up for my wife and she loves it. It has Wonder woman through the years by different artists. She really enjoyed it and we would recommend this to any Wonder woman fans.

Got this for my niece, who loves wonderwoman. Only after did I realise it was an adult coloring book. Still worked great and my niece loves coloring in it with her Dad who is a huge comic book fan. The pictures, the ones I saw, all looked like they were straight out of the comic. All in all awesome and I recommend for a comic book lover in your life.

It is perfect! I love every single picture and plan on coloring the entire book! High quality drawings, and even just the feel of the book is really nice.

I'm brand new to options, and I bought 4 different books on options trading, along with reading dozens of articles and taking a handful of video on the Internet from various brokers and sellers, and this book is the best of the lot. It's a quick read, but contains the basic definitions that you need to understand options fairly well, and it doesn't overdue it. Some books spend too many pages on intrinsic value and time decay. But what really sets this book apart is it gives you real-life advice all over it's pages, at the right level for a beginner. It's the only book where I feel comfortable enough to actually be doing the strategies it talks about. After reading the few pages on bull spreads, I was like, "Holy sh?t, I'm glad I didn't do a bull spread using any of the other book's or video's advice and play book. I would have been a kid in a candy store and probably lost money until I ran across the advice that this author gives you. Only drawback, for an American reader, is that the example scenarios are for an Indian options trading, but other than having to ignore the Indian money values, it's a great, great book for a beginner. Best of the lot.

This book is a very worthwhile resource - A quite small book, written in a personal manner, it accomplishes very well what it sets out to do - clarify, simplify and make information on trading options comfortably understandable. I'd say it's worth its weight in bitcoins . . . .Of the dozen or so books on my interests in option trading, which are at arms reach - this book by Roji A. is now on my short list of "go to" for clarity, simplified understanding and recall. Many of the other books I have, going back many years, now serve better as (heavy) paperweights, rather than useful sources of useable information.I really do think he has pulled off an important accomplishment. The material focuses on the basics, then builds using simple examples (of what's really going on with options trading), then cleverly and clearly walks through understandable details of about a half dozen popular options trading strategies. Given how confusing, complicated, convoluted etc., options trading can seem; to make the subject user friendly, clear, understandable as well as digestable - absolutely, hats off to this person. Warm and fuzzy - - thank you for this book.Shifu-T, Abacas.

I liked its common-sense approach, however, would like to see it rewritten for just the American market, using our Stockmarket tickers.

The author gives a basic breakdown of options trading and Morty Solon examples in the different strategies used to maximize profit and reduce risk and loss. Overall it’s a good book.

This books presents useful strategies and is to the point. The author doesn't wander around and presents the concepts in a concise and easy to understand manner with one example per strategy. So far I have been trading options without hedging and although I had some successes, some recent losses set me to look for simple to understand material. Highly recommend this book.

Book had really great examples explaining options. Also some suggestions/guidance that really made it worth it.

Good starting book if you want to take some risk in the stock market

Great book, and a quick read. It's short and to the point, and in a very good way. The detailed examples of each strategy are great, and can really help a beginner understand exactly how to use them. For the more experienced trader, it's still a good reference book on options plays, or as a reminder on how certain strategies work.

I am a big Meltzer fan - as both an author and a person. Have really enjoyed interviews I have seen with him (seems like a great guy) and have really loved his books. This one just didn't work for me. Every character was so unlikable I didn't really care what happened to them. The plot was somewhat awkward and didn't lead in any good direction. And the dialogue between the main characters honestly felt like what a high school student would write. Better to skip this one and read something fun like the book of fate or book of lies.

I have read several of Meltzer's books and have loved them, I bought this one because it was his first and the 20th anniversary of it's publication. The general story was actually very good and the ending was excellent but the characters where rather obnoxious and the temper tantrums made me want to beat the carp out of them, their where constant references to how great and caring the liberal judges where and how mean and draconian the conservative judges where, give me a break.Based on his other books I'd have to say Mr. Meltzer has grown a lot as a writer.

In the last few years, I've started reading more thrillers. They're usually quick reads, they're kind of fun, and they distract by offering a change from the literary fiction and non-fiction that I read most of the time. And when I heard Brad Meltzer speak on a podcast recently, I said "he's a nice guy; maybe I should pick up some of his books."Maybe so, but by starting out with his first book, I fear I've done him and myself an injustice. The book is juvenile, totally lacking in credibility, and desperately in need of judicious editing. It really is like "Friends," including that one of the lead characters is named Lisa, which put me in mind of Lisa Kudrow's character Phoebe. While the Lisa in the book is no airhead, she's constantly coming up with the same kind of smart-alecky lines that Phoebe might say.The story begins with a leak of classified Supreme Court information by the "hero" -- a Supreme Court clerk; in fact, one of the early plot failings is that everyone says he was tricked into it. I'm a lot older and more experienced than the character, but his error is so screamingly obvious that he comes across as not very bright. The plot from there is over-plotted, with twists and turns and after-the-fact explanations about things that the characters did that we didn't know about. There is lots of melodrama and juvenile banter. Some sexual innuendo and a stupid sex scene thrown in.I could go on, but that would be repeating one of the book's faults. Let's just say that I may try another Brad Meltzer or two, but I hope they're better than this first attempt.

(Kindle Edition) As a fan of Brad Meltzer's History Channel series "Decoded," I decided it was time I read one of his novels. I picked at random, not realizing until after I ordered that "The Tenth Justice" was the author's first book, written in the late 1990's. First novels are an iffy thing -- some are absolutely brilliant and others...well, let's just say that "The Tenth Justice" is one of the others.The premise of the novel immediately drew me in -- new Supreme Court law clerk, Ben Addison, violates his oath by telling a virtual stranger the outcome of a controversial case involving major corporations a few days prior to the announcement by the justices. The stranger, "Rick Fagan," has befriended Ben by telling him he is a former clerk of the same justice Ben is working for -- Fagan knows many details that make his story plausable and he plays on Ben's natural insecurities in his new environment. Ofcourse, Rick Fagan is not whom he pretends to be, and Ben's reveal results in the principals in the case buying huge numbers of shares of the stocks of both companies prior to the announcement the following Monday. A leak inside the court is immediately suspected. Ben is desperate to keep his job, and knowing that he would be fired immediately if he went to the judge for whom he clerks, he hopes to ride out the situation. Ben, his three childhood friends who now share a house in D.C., and Lisa Marie Schulman, his fellow law clerk, then go on the proverbial rollercoaster ride of action and suspense, which is generally entertaining with some reservations.The problem is...well, there is just so much darned talking, and talking, and talking, particularly among the roomies, that the action frequently stalls. There are long passages where little happens to move the plot forward, as Meltzer seemingly was attempting to make each of Ben's friends into unique individuals: Ober, the group clown, was the only real success in my opinion. There was also endless banter, mainly of a sexual nature, between Ben and Lisa, both within and outside the office. Also problematic are the ethical violations that Ben has his friends commit in an effort to protect his behind and uncover the identity of Fagan -- Ober's writing a death threat against the senator for whom he works, under "Fagan's" name, is the most extreme. In addition, Meltzer's Ben never shouts or hisses his frustration -- he screams, even in public places. When we finally reach the surpise ending, it is scared in my opinon by an "endless" Epilogue that consists of a conversation between Ben and Lisa where they attempt to set the boundaries of their romantic relationship. It is my experience that Epilogues are generally short and to the point, unless something pertinent to the plot is going to be revealed as a shocker at the last moment.I am interested in finding out if Meltzer's writing improves in his later works. If I discover that it does, I may be tempted to read further, but if more recent books contain the same issues that bog down "The Tenth Justice," I will probably stick to "Decoded."I found no major errors in the Kindle edition and appreciate that the cover of the book was included, not just the title page.

Should make people thoughtful about the present administration and how much power is actually in the hands of the President regarding placement of judges in without any checks and balances!!!!I. Should also call to attention the fact that most judges rule for life no matter what their decisions It is very difficult to get even elected judges dismissed. Read this book for its inside information and vote. !!!!!! Meltzer is an intelligent and well informed author. Definitely rated 5 stars and more.

About the Author

Dr. Gilman received his Ph.D. from Rutgers University in 1980 in forest plant pathology and is a professor in the Environmental Horticulture Department at the University of Florida in Gainesville. He has assembled a unique urban tree teaching program for helping municipalities, contractors, arborists, educators, growers, landscapers, and others design and implement programs for promoting better tree health in cities. He conducts educational programs in tree selection, nursery production, and urban tree management nation-wide for a large variety of audiences. Dr. Gilman is a Florida chapter ISA past-president. I took a Master Gardening class this fall and during a class on pruning, our instructor from the University of Kentucky, suggested this was the best book to have as a learning tool and to have in our books, for knowledge, in case a pruning question should come about. This book is a reference book that is used around the world.

Many different ways to prune trees, as we all know. I believe this approach of structural pruning for trees of all sizes is the currently best way to go. They best reason businesses wise is you spend less time in the tree! Or, the best reason is you are working with the tree. In this idea of a pruning “dance” the tree leads and the tree workers follow. We all know that the opposite ofpruning trees to get them to do what we want has mixed results. For example the topped tree that is then not pruned for ten years and becomes almost unworkable.

Terrible quality. Pages were not cut properly and stuck together. The paper is low quality and the ink comes off on your fingers. The ink even comes off on other pages. Only a class textbook like this could be so overpriced and so poorly made.Thw book itself is more geared toward an arborist pruning street and park trees. There are maybe 20 examples how to prune trees away from a street and powerlines. Not one for how to prune away from your house.

Wow! This is the finest book on the subject that I've seen so far, and I say that as a student in a Horticulture degree program. The illustrations are fantastic - so much better than learning from old black and white line work from photocopies or extension service documents that don't quite make the grade in the graphics department.

Dr. Gilman is absolutely brilliant and though I am not exactly an arborist, I really enjoyed his courses and this text. My view of trees has forever changed after reading this. I am hyper aware of "tree abuse" and so is my husband. As a gardener and conservationist, I found this information to be highly practical. Great read and it is simple enough for anyone to understand (though the topics are sometime complex).

Most extensive book on pruning that has plenty of illustrations I have seen. Easily read and to follow. Excellent book for new students of horticulture with even quizzes at the end of each chapter. I have another book on trees by the Author. I refer to both quite often teaching my crew leaders in a landscaping maintenance business.

I purchased Dr. Gilman's textbook after helping prune several young trees with someone who had participated in Dr. Gilman's single-day pruning mini-course. There were a lot of removal cuts and reduction cuts to ensure strong leaders. The trees looked quite different after pruning, each with a single leader branch at the very top.This text teaches current concepts in pruning (there have been some changes in recent years) and is very heavy on detailed illustrations of what to do, what not, and why. It covers some alternative approaches, with emphasis on trees, from seedling to maturity. There's lots of information on how to produce quality trees in a nursery, then on how to continue their growth in their permanent homes, where they will develop their permanent canopies. Shortly after Gilman's textbook arrived, I had a 100-gallon oak tree installed in my yard, so I had seen his advice on "shaving" root balls to get rid of circling roots. The tree happened to have an excellent root ball and needed no more than five or ten minutes of clipping small circling roots. The cut root ends should produce lots of new roots, spreading outward from the trunk. The installer assured me that the grower was top-notch.There is useful advice on how to hire an arborist, how to prune palms and cycads, shrub pruning (including hedges) and how to prune roots during construction or road/walkway maintenance.Gilman's textbook should be extraordinarily useful for nursery growers and arborists. It could be very useful for landscapers and other people charged with maintaining and improving landscapes. In particular, the book should be useful for developing maintenance schedules and budgets, and selling those budgets to those who control the funds. Not to mention that the book can help prevent harm. It does wonders to develop one's eye for good and bad pruning. It's a good book to study if you're going to work a lot with an arborist, and want to understand what they can or should do. It will likely also be useful for questions about renewing hedges.This costly book is relevant to homeowners only if they have substantial yards with a several trees, or if they are investing in new trees or lots of shrubs and want to ensure the best results.

This book provides a very thorough coverage of its subject. I have years of experience pruning trees and on my first review I found little to quibble with and I learned a couple of new things. One expects to pay a good bit for a book like this as it is very specialized; it will never becomes a NYT bestseller. At xvii + 330 pages I would expect it to be at least 3/4" thick and perhaps even an inch but it is only a half inch. The paper is very light weight and feels flimsy. Drawings and text show through from the back side of the page. The paper covers are also light weight. I'm expecting to make repairs if I use it very much. In short, the content is very good but the construction of the book is decidedly inferior. For the money I expected better quality.An Amazon review by Charles Laird apparently addresses a different book on the same subject. He refers to it as a "little book" of 178 pages, while this book is close to double that. The described content does not apply to this book. From the review, "on page 61 there are 24 tree drawings showing different limb configurations and the required pruning cuts to develop a dominant leader." Page 61 of my copy is entirely text with no drawings.
