I've been a pastor in the Alcester-Hudson community for the last 10 years. Although I didn't get the opportunity to get to know Angie personally, I got to know her through Caringbridge posts, Facebook posts, and conversations with her family and friends during her illness. Underneath the ashes of sorrow, I was witness to God using Angie and her story for His glory. And now through the book, her family has boldly opened up about their journey of faith. What I most enjoyed about the book was their honesty; they openly invite you into their world of confusion, sorrow, doubt, anger, joy, and faith. Angie's story is a story about not just her faith journey; but a story about our's as well.
This is a tear jerker, inspiring true story about faith, hope and love Of a family fighting time to find a treatment for their, otherwise healthy, daughter diagnosed with stage 4 aggressive cancer. Told thru different relationship perspectives, including Angie’s journal, of how cancer effects everyone and how having faith over fear helped them make important decisions. Sadly, we all know someone that has or is battling cancer... this book makes a great gift to help bring peace and faith to a scary situation. At a time that one could easily crawl under a rock or search at the bottom of a bottle, the Hazel’s choose to share their story of faith over fear to keep Angie alive thru donating the proceeds to charities close to Angie... wow~ We should all be so blessed to have this kind of faith and family. I truly believe that Angie's miracle is how she will go on inspiring faith in others through her strength, book, kind actions, and the people who love her!
